DSC-V1 and type of Memory Stick

ultra-fast Sandisk Extreme Memory Stick Pro cards ? I mean, does
the digital camera have enough operating speed to write to the card
that fast: i think these new cards write at 18Mb/s (megabytes per
second).

in normal operation you won't notice too much difference, but you
will notice a difference in formatting speed and possibly in burst
mode. I have both and usually use the pro unless i am squeezed for
space. if buying new, i would definitely get the pro.
