Hi everyone,

thinking about getting a Sony digital camera, any feedback would greatly appreciated.

Sony P150 is a good camera. I own it and am satisfied. However, it seems to have a problem with over saturated reds - you might take a few pictures first to see if you like the shots.

1) I posted a few sample pictures where the reds were very saturated. Only happens with a strong shade of red, but it can be very pronounced. Can be worked around. Red the thread for more details. Follow this link...:

2) Reegarding the flash. think it is good enough. Haven't had any problems, though it is a bit underwhelming. I bought the sony slave flash. See sony .com, This is a very cool gizmo that sense the camera flash a provides extra light. Can be held in your hand. It has nearly eliminated red eye, and works when you find the flash a bit weak.

My only concern wit hthe p150 is the red saturation

With regard to the oversaturated reds. I have just Bought Son P150 and find that oversaturation of reds only occurs when flash is used close up. Outdoors no oversatuartion. I have used Olympus, Canon A80 and HP cameras in past. They all had oversaturated colours to some degree in low light. Part of the enjoyment of photography however is that we tend to print photos we wish to look at. Therfore it is normal to use imaging software such as photoshop in order to produce the desired effect.

So if unhappy with too much red or other effects then adjust away until happy with result.
Hope this helps
