First, off, who likes it? Second off, It seems the sensor brush is going to be the cleaning method I plan to use for my CCD. I am curious though, since the fan brush is for use when traveling and using a bulb blower, if I don't need this, and can pretty much always used canned air, can't I just get the cheaper 8mm brush, and do 2 swipes on the sensor? I know it sounds cheap, but after the 80-200, manfrotto tripod, ball head, and 1gig CF, I am broke as a joke. So, would this work or do I need to go with the bigger kit?

Youv'e got it all wrong about the canned air.
You do not blow canned air into the camera or onto the sensor to loosen dust,
The accepted mathod is to use a rocket blower.

What you do with a sensor brush is "charge it" by blowing canned air onto it.
This charges it and makes particle os dust stick to it.
Then you gently brush the sensor and it picks up the dust.

The you take the brush out of the body, blow more canned air at it, charge it. then brush the sensor again.
It lifts off all the dust and dirt and woks quite well.

so my question is, why would I not save some dough and go with the 8mm smaller sensor brush and just swipe 2 times over the sensor, than pay like 90$ for the 16mm brush (2times 1 8mm brush) and the fan brush which I would never use? Wouldn't that make sense?

so all I need is the 8mm brush and like a can of dust off, and my sensor will be clean :-) ? Is there any dust on your sensor that didn't come off? If so, did you use pec pads, or did all of it come off with the brush? And what type of soap do you use to clean yours?

Thanks for your help, I plan to order one today after your answer to these questions.

I've been using Sensor Brush for about three weeks now. I live in the desert at the base of the Sierra's and we have lots of wind and dust. I can't tell you how much I like this product. I find that I use the fan brush the most. I did also buy there sensor clean/chamber product and cleaned my sensor once with that product and than wiped with the sensor brush. I hope this helps

now from my understanding you use the fan brush when you use a bulb blower to charge it, where as you use the sensor brush when you can use compressed air, and since I am going to be only using it with compressed air, the sensor brush should be fine correct. I am glad to see so many good reviews, definitely going to order one tonight then.

I don't claim to know what I'm doing yet, but my attitude is to use a bulb blower first. If that solves the problem, don't mess with the brush. Only use the brush if the blower isn't able to resolve the issue.

You are correct and give good advise.
Only get the rocket blower, no powder inside or dust to blow out.
Hold camera upside down and blow all over the chamber.
If you still have dust on CCD then charge up your brush and give a wipe.

The blower just seems to blow the dust around, it works, but I have resorted to using the bulb only on the outside of the camera. So, I guess sensor brush is the way I am gonna go.

I use the canned air to charge both brushs. From what I understand is that it takes less charge "moving air" for the fan brush to charge, you can use a bulb duster to charge it. I've also found some web sites that sell a compressor and empty cans so that I can re-fill my own air cans. Don't know how it works yet but should have the product sometime this week.
