Where Can A Beginner Find Good Info on RAW format?

Just got my D7 and realize from reading this most instructive forum that I need to graduate to using RAW format in Photoshop. I'm reasonably proficient at an amateur level with PS but have always used only JPEG format with photos taken on my first digital, the Dimage 7. Can anyone direct me to a good place online to get educated on creating and processing RAW format images?

I would start by reading Photoshop's Help on RAW. It's got a lot to get you started. Other than that, just Google it.
