Hi All,

I entered the pic of Battersea Power Station into Steve's POTD a couple of months ago (I did take it back in February, for God's sake!) and forgot about it, so it came as a complete surprise to here from him.

Somebody on this forum emailed me directly to tell after my use of the picture here in this forum yesterday.

What a nice surprise!

See ya,

Richard

Richard,

Nice shot - and congratulations on POTD. Rack up another one for the E-10.

Hi Richard,
Congratulations.
well done. I'm sure it's in contention for the photo of the month.
All the best to you!

Hi Nelson,

Have you seen the other shots?! Only three others so far and they are all great shots. I don't think my nightshot will be winning that one.

Time to get out and shoot some more...

Regards,

Richard

Isn't this the same picture you posted on this forum june 4 (creating something from nothing) I thought from reading the rule for potd that only minimal post processing was allowed, this photo by your own admission has been created from nothing. still its a pretty picture.

Hi Byron,

How many times do I hav to explain this. I knocked back an image to 5% of it's original strength to test out that layering idea that I had based on the principles of Astrostack. That is all. It was merely an experiment to see if multiple layers would work using the multiply effect.

And it did.

Richard

Exceptional photograph.

Congratulations to the PHOTOGRAPHER. The photographer made the picture. The E-10 may have played a part, but the old rule still applies -"It is not the camera, but the photographer that makes a great picture".

Congratulations, Richard.

Cheers.

I really want to get a great night shot of the London Eye a bit further up the Thames soon. You know how you can pass something a few times and want to take a shot but it is not quite right. The other problem is it never stops turning...

See ya,

Richard

Hello Richard,

That image deserved that "honnor". It was great the first time you posted it, and it remains great. Congratulations ...
