I spot-metered an 18% grey-card held up to her own left side of face (highlights). Light source is a 30watt tungsten bulb, hidden behind a dark lamp-shade, that is 4 feet from subject at 90 degrees. A monitor that is 6 feet away from subject is the reflected light in her eyes.

This is another example of the Focusing System working well in very-low light. You can clearly see the detail in her hair. Not bad at all for ISO 400.

I am glad you used a tripod as it separates testing the focusing system from user error/hand shake as others may have experienced with blurry photos at slower shutter speeds.

Moral of the story is the camera will focus well at these slower shutter speeds in Very low light...
