... because I need more speed and lower noise levels.
I had to sell my C-8080 which I liked very very much :-(

I have been taking pics with film SLR very long time so it was only matter of time when I move to DSLR, and now that time was right for me.

So now I have both, film & digital SLR.

I also think that this forum is best and I will be missing all of you...

Here is two pics with Canon 20D.

ISO 1600, RAW, 17-85 IS USM

Hi Pasi,

I echo your statements here. I also bought a 20D recently, and for the same reasons, I now have both film and digital SLRs, and I definitely think the Oly forum is the best (friendliness, helpfulness, etc). :)

Best of luck with your 20D.

Kind Regards,
Brian

Brian G. and Pasi,

You guys trying to make us jealous : )

Good luck with your cameras, the 20D is a very impressive unit. I would have went with one if I had Canon glass. did you guys buy with the kit lense? I absolutely enjoy my 8080 as I have officially retired my 4040. I find the 8080 easy to use as having Olympus before helped with the menu system. Now if I only lived in warm climate..........

Thank you. :) Yes, I did buy mine with the kit lens, but I had a buyer for that lens already lined up.

Yes, I love my 8080 as well. I think it is a fantastic camera and is capable of some really stunning imagery. I think perhaps my only gripe is its slow focusing.

Thanks again Jeff. =)

Kind Regards,

Brilliant!! Love the shallow depth of field in the first shot!

What was the shutter speed for the 2nd shot (ISO 1600) ?

Those are very clean and smooth, very good!

But why didn't you get the E-1 (or the upcoming E-300).

Tell us when you're tired of cleaning your CMOS, and longing for the supersonic dust remover :)

Congrats on getting the DSLR. That seems to be going around lately. You killed me with the first shot. Not only because it's great but because I grew up with 2 Collies. Beautiful. Have fun with the new camera.
