Hello to all members,
Prior to joining this forum, I was a member (still am) of the Olympus group.
I currently own an Olympus E-20 and consider myself an amature wanting to better my photography in all facets of the art. It is an art isn't it?
To this end, I have decided to purchase a D70 for many reasons, including the reviews found everywhere, especially at DPReview and of course this forum..
The majority of my shots are taken on holidays, general sightseeing and sporting events, with of course many shots of home and family life. The D70 seems to me to be an ideal, versatile camera, which will handle all my requirements for years to come.
I live in Australia and can purchase the D70 as a kit, which includes the 18-70 and 70-300 G lenses for $2299 Australian which equates to about $1800 US,
I am not sure if this is a good price, although seems to be the best I can do in OZ. Perhaps I should consider importing from the US?
Anyway I am sure to continue following this forum and posting questions and hopefully may soon be able to answer other members queries.
Cheers for now
