Just got the camera and it has the 1.02 f/w. When I went to Canon site it said the f/w upgrade (1.05) is not available. Anybody know why.

If you have the 1.02 f/w, would you upgrade to 1.05 if camera works fine w/o the upgrade.

My philosophy (after killing a motherboard during a bios upgrade) is never to upgrade unless you are having problems AND the upgrade is intened to fix that specific problem - or has another documented feature that you want to have.

Although the risk is small - there is always a risk of damaging the unit requiring a return to repair cetre.
