Hi,

I'm new to the forum and would welcome any comments regarding 11x14 print size using the S7000. I presently have an Olympus C740 and love it, but I have a requirement to print larger than 8x10 flower pics.

I'm impressed with the reviews and comments regarding the Fuji S7000 and am considering this as my next camera. I would expect that going from a 3.2 MP to a 7MP will well take care of the larger image. I also have a desire to crop and enlarge. Any comments from photographers using crop and enlarge? Printing images to 11x14? I'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance,
Martie

I have heard of people pushing the S7000 to a 30x20 print, so I would expect it to handle 11x14 very easily. I would suggest downloading some of the sample images from the S7000 review on this site and printing them yourself to see the results first-hand.

I Have printed a building at 13"X15.75 inches [33X40cm] Using Qimage [from http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage] and my HP 9300 Inkjet. The photo was of the school my daughter goes to.

Resouts: Fantastic, no visible noise, no pixelation, no JPEG problems, beautiful colors, and so on. BTW I was happy enough I looked at it with a 10X loupe (magnifier) and it still looked beautiful.

I had it framed and gave it to the School Admistrator where my daughter goes and she was thrilled and said no one was taking it, it was going in her office [several others wanted to place it in other locations]. So others liked it also.

Please note Qimage is a fantastic program and I use it whichever camera I use, whichever printer I use, and even when I send printing out I often used it.

Thanks so much for the response. As always the forum photographers are always willing to help out the novice. I will download the sample image, and look into Qimage. It appears the Fuji 7000 will be my next camera.
Best regards, Martie
