Three Questions:

Are there any pictures taken with high ISO-Level using the new D7 out there?

Is the highest Level the 1600 or the 3200?

Is the sensor a complite new design or was it already used in previous cameras? (Anything special about the Design of the Sensor?)

Noise comprahention between 7D/300D/10D/*ist DS with 6MP and 20D 8MP sensor could be very interessting and is for me the main decision point.

Anybody can make my decision any easier?

There are some pictures with high ISO here on DPreview, in the News section.

The highest level is 3200 (lowest is 100)

It is a newly designed sensor, not used before in any other camera.

Noise level is very low, about the same (some say even lower) than the 20D, so let's say very low. Correcting noise is very easy, for display or print, so it's not as big a deal as some make it. Color reproduction is more important in a DSLR and the 7D looks very good in that area as well.

There have been a few ciruclated. Try searching through the forum, the posts are probably a month or two old now. The shots I've seen suggest the D7 can keep up with a 10D/20D as far as noise goes.

I see your schwartz is as big as mine.

KMike Hood made this preliminary commnet over at the Minolta yahoo group. He actually has a 7d in his hands

"Preliminary shots at 3200 are awesome. Yes it does have noise up there. But the
noise looks much more like film grain and not nearly as digital looking as my
canon did. Although grainy it's acceptable and looks better at 11x14 than
Suepria 1600 film."

Don't get me wrong, the colors looked very pleasing. But you really can't judge color reproduction unless you have:
a) D7
b) a well calibrated monitor

And I'm guessing you're at least missing part A.

You're right, I have part B and not part A (I have a D7, just not a D7D :-).

I should have said the color reproduction in the pictures other people have made, like on DPreview, LL and Femme from T.net, looks very promissing.

You can find sample shots that Phil posted in September (?). I took the one shot of a Cardinal at ISO 3200 and it looked very good after cleaning it up with Neat Image. But it was pretty good to start with, and even ISO 3200 is still quite useful.
