Keep the o'l 6900 or buy a new E550

Can anyone tell me if I should sale my o'l 6900 and get a newer camera like the E550? I would like a somewhat smaller camera to haul around. But, even being that the E550 is a 6.3mp, from the images I have seen online I don't see them being much better than the 3.1 that the 6900 does.

Morris,
I have the old 6900 and going to keep it. It still takes photos
as good as my new E550. Do not think I could get my money
back that I've invested in 6900z, memory cards and extra lenses.
It will make a good backup camera till I can no longer get batteries
for it.
I do like the size of the E550 and carry it with me almost
everyday.

Hello Morris,

If I were You I would Buy the Biggest Camera You Could Find. You Have Gerald to Carry it Around. Just Joking. Get What suits Your Needs. I would not sell the 6900. You get such Nice Images out of that.

Thanks, I really do like the 6900, just that it is hard to lug around like on vacation @ Disney World. I was thinking the E550 might be a little easier to carry on trips like that.

Just though I should say that if you come to a point that you find no batteries for your camera anymore, you can probably find someone who replace the old cells inside for new ones, that way you can allways have new batteries for it as long as it lives. Just for a bit of publicity

I own an electric hardware store and one of my suppliers have this service available, when there's a batery that cannot be found anymore they just replace the dead cells on the old battery, probably you can find someone who does the same in your area.

dont you just hate that ? hard to find batteries and expensive too.

I really like to keep old cam but end up in the closet getting dirt. Just sell it and buy a new one where you know you will use it.

Note that you were talking to Morris, not morris... I believe morris has a 602, not a 6900.
