All of the following pictures are straight from my camera. The only think I did was resized them down to 800x600. I just love this camera! Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Earl

Super shots!! Detail and color and composition are awesome. I am in the bay area, maybe we could go shooting. I have the FZ20 as well.

What part of the Bay Area? At least I know somel FZ user here in the Bay Area - John Reed, Bobbyz, Marty (Fiskadoro), Augustin (ka_lai), AlanF among others. Maybe we could have a fun shootout one of these days.

Thanks for the completments! I live in Auburn and work in Petaluma and don't have a lot of spare time, but would do my best to get together with you all for a FZxx outing. I also have a friend at work that owns a FZ10 that brought the Panasonic cameras to my attention. I returned my Kodak DX6490 and waited two months to purchase the FZ20. I couldn't pass up the manual focus, OIS and the Leica lens.

Without any other cars on the road, it takes about 2 hours (125 miles). Normally it takes between 2-1/3 - 2-1/2 hours. I took the route through Napa yesterday and got the pictures of the grape vineyards and flower. It is usually shorter taking hwy 37 instead.

Looked like you're on good start. The FZ20 still carried over from FZ10 the tendency to exhibit over exposure on outside shots. To counteract within the camera, you may want to start with exposure compensation at -1/3EV and below. You could also look into spot metering to have better control on the exposure. Lastly, manual setup is a good setup mode to look into. I am mostly in manual mode. Dramatic viewpoint on that last image with a bit of over exposure.
cheers and welcome to the FZ world,
gil
