Here's a macro of a chinese tea cup with tea

A night shot of Singapore (camera rested on the railing)

Another macro of Pepper Tuna sushi

Lastly a macro shot of a cake

I just love macros...but being a beginner, I still have lots to learn.

I can't see the pictures. Link (clicking on open new window) doesn't work either.
I'm anxious to see them.

I can see it. Maybe they have bandwith problems again.

I've tried on another PC and it worked OK too. Hmmm, can others
see it too?

By now one of your pictures has reached the limits of the bandwith. Like mine, that picture only shows a small message about the bandwith limit. I discussed it with imagesavers and it's better to use the [ img] format in the future. That way pictures are not autmaticaslly opened, saving a lot of bandwith, and pictures will remain visible.
Btw, good to see some samples.

Something I did not know either, but found out too late:
To link to an image WITHOUT EMBEDDING IT simply add a semicolon (;)
to the end of the url (eg.

Sorry Sonicgear.

sonicgear,

Food is nice but any chance we could see some human samples as well? ;-)

I will be taking primarily family pictures and wondered how the P700 handled skin tones, etc....

Thanks,

This may not be the P700, but it is the P600 !
Remember, the P700 has higher iso values than the P600.

sonicgear,

Thank you for posting a human sample;-)

Unfortunately I cannot view it. It looks like this is a very popular subject. Here is the exception I get:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections... A link to the server could not be established...

I think alot of people are waiting to see how this camera performs before they buy there next digicam. The little webserver/database server cannot handle it.

As a Software Engineer and frequent poster of images on the web I highly recommend trying one of the more reliable, stable Photoalbum sites. Two of the best are pbase and imageevent. I have used both and prefer imageevent . For only $24/year you can upload 1500 photos up to 5 megs each (many more than pbase). There are other reliable free ones as well. Here is a recent family photo I got at the beach:

I'll try back later and see if I can get through. Thanks again,

Derek

sonicgear,

I finally got thru...

That is a great shot I really like the detail!!! The skin tones are nice too. They both look very natural. How do the the colors look to you? Are you happy with its ability to shoot people so far?

Casio is known for fast focus and minimal shutter lag. Do you find this to be true in the P700 as well?

I am looking forward to see more samples as more users get there hands on it.

Thanks again,

Derek

Hi DerekSurfs,

Being a beginner in photography, I like my Casio-P700 very much because of the very fast shutter lag.

But I must admit that it's very similar to P600 with just additional features like business shots.

With regards to the human photo, I must say that I need more practice shooting fast/shutter eg. ppl running.

The skin tones looks good and very natural too, but personally I would like to maximise natural light (sun) than the flash to bring out the flesh tones.

Cheers
