After changing cartridge, printer did not respond when promted to clean heads. Was prompted to print a test page, and nothing happened. Reinstalled software/driver...still unresponsive.

Thanks for reply.

Hi Ray,
Turn off the printer AND the Epson print software @ the computer.

Reinstall the old cartridge manually... inside printer is a gear at the
left side of the cavity (the small gear), rotate it CCW (toward printer
front) with your left forefinger... you will see the cartridge blocking
finger drop (right side of cavity, beside the cartridge)... move
cartridge carrier to the cavity left side to the cartridge loading
position.

Open the cartridge lid and put the original cartridge back in, close
the lid, push the carrier back to the right side, rotate the small gear
CW (raises the blocking finger).

Now turn on the printer power... lights should come ON, cleaning
cycle should start. Probably the ink low light will flash.

Now push the yellow replace cartridge button (under cavity cover)
... cartridge carrier should move left to the Loading Location... put
the new cartridge into the carrier. Push the yellow button to
complete the process.

Be careful to put the cartridge straight up/down and tilted forward
slightly into its carrier, upon the 2 lid hooks, or the carrier spring
wires WILL NOT correctly contact the "chip" and that will also
DISABLE the printer... no lights or action at all upon Power-up.

Printer should be OK after this... I know... same thing happened to me!
I "died a 1000 deaths" until I figured all of this out!!!

Actually, did it step by step, word for word. It worked. I thought I HAD the PERFECT EXCUSE to buy a NEW PRINTER w/ wider paper output ---
was it EPSON 2000---1OO yrs archiving.
But still thanks a whole lot.
Saved my wife a bunch of money for her other shopping. =)

Thanks again
RAY
Oops... does the 750 have the "chip"? Maybe my previous post
doesn't apply!
