Hate to ask, but am at wits end... (PS question)

Within the last few weeks there was a post about maximizing or optimizing Photoshop performance by changing the properties to some deep file.

My problem now is that whenever I start PS it starts with the same info: file browser folder on opening, foreground and bg colors, and recent files as the day I changed that file.

Can anyone remember that post or explain how I can reverse it?

I've tried uninstalling and that doesn't change it. Lost my bookmarks with that post on it.

Thanks for any help!

was that resetting properties to default (but be sure to save files first)?

I think so. I'm able to save files fine, I just want CS to remember what I did last time.

I'm kicking myself for not understanding that post.

Do you know how to reset preferences? I thought what I'd changed would let CS open however I closed last.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

did you try typing Preferences in this forum's search window. I've never reset them but there are a number of posts.
