Well, Vistek has been a professional oriented store since day one.
If you're into the more exotic gear, often you have no choice but
to go to Vistek. (Try getting color management stuff from Henry's
for example) Used to be that Vistek's the most expensive place in
town, but its prices are very competitive these days. So unless
it's a big item, I ususally go straight to Vistek.
As for Henry's, these guys are pretty clueless. I once saw a used
Olympus E10 on their website. I called the downtown store where
the camera was supposed to be and they told me to come down. I
drove all the way down and then they told me all the used stuff
have been moved to the clearance center next door. The guys at the
clearance center said none of the digital stuff has arrived yet.
So I went back and forth between the two locations and nobody even
bothered to try and find out where is camera is supposed to be.
They just told me to come back, which I couldn't do until the next
weekend. A few days later, the camera was removed from the used
section on their website and never appeared again. That's great in
a sense because I said to h*ll with this garbage and decided to get
a DSLR instead.
In any case, for this kind of service, I can understand it if their
prices are dirt cheap, which they certain are not. In fact, they
are probably the most expensive in town for most things. I've
stopped dealing with them for quite a while now.
