20D Complaints? Gripes? Lets have it!

Coming from an S2, I can;t get this thing setup right. I'm not having much luck with the interface and functions. I need some help big time. This is my first Canon.

WB does not look right. Exposures all over the map. DR seems to be narrow compared to the S2. I'm sure it;s a setup issue, I need someone to help. Maybe there is some kind soul out there who would e-mail me?

I'm sure I had it set to wake me up at 6:30 this morning.

...are larger than the squares etched onto the focusing screen.
Really just more of an annoyance.
Actually, I think it's a significant annoyance. I wish at least the center point was exact. Hard to focus on just one eye.
Also, difficult to select the corner AF points with the joystick.
Hopefully with practice I'll improve.
That takes practice. To go diagonally, train yourself to feel for just one of the nubs, then pull. I think going directly up or down is harderr, because you have to grab two nubs simultaneously.

I don't underrstand.

First, how did you get a Biggie-2?

Second, the AF point movement isn't operational unless you've just half-pressed the shutter release to turn on the inside display.
whats wrong with the thing, save for the spot meter not being
present, what else is there to hate?

I have not read many complaints, as of yet.

We already knew it was an APS-C format, we already knew where the 0/1 switch was, we already knew it couldn't whistle "Dixie."

Let's talk about things that caught us by surprise.

I never, ever used the On/Off switch on the 10D...

I have the 20D set to 'auto shut off' after 1 minute. It wakes up
in less than a second anyway, whenever needed, so no need to
manually turn the camera on or off with the switch.
There is a possibility of having the camera turned on inadvertently when there is a chance of something pressing the shutter release. I'd switch it off at the end of the day.

PC writes:

No auto ISO
No 3" LCD
No FTP
No eye control AF
No wireless remote control
No SD/DX/iDX option... (only CF?)
Still cost over 1K.

But I still buy one (don't ask me why)

i want it because i travel a lot and i would like to keep a more complete record of my trips so when i get old and forgetful i will have something more to look at.

plus for backpacking i can record where things happened so when other people try to find them it will be easier.

I dont NEED it, but I would certainly PAY more for it. and since its a serial data stream from a handheld device it would be very very cheap to impliment.

Your not getting a 20D Daniella ! ?
Guess Ill have to move to Nikon then ...

It's surprising how many manufacturers still have not designed a decent joystick / multi-controller. The one on my Rio Karma is decent, but nothing outstanding. The one on the muvo2 was pitiful -- very nearly unusable for my hands. The one on my 20D.... Your right, it will take practice.

Normally, UPS just drops any package on my side porch. B&H must have requested a signature. Nobody was home. I guess I'll be driving to the UPS distribution center tonight.

Huh? I don't get you either. Care to run that by me again?

Anyway, what I meant was:

Try shoot vertical by holding the BP-E2. They try to reach the AF selection Joystick with your thumb. It's a long long way to go unless you have fingers like Magic Johnson.
