http://www.e10day.com has been down all day. It has no DNS registration - apparently, it's ISP and/or domain name registrar yanked it.

How about if we just post our pictures here? We could post with the subject ===E10 Day===, like those annoying ===Challenge=== posts over in the Samples and Galleries Forum.

Hi Jason,

I had my website down for 24hrs and this very same thing happened. You could start a "consolidation thread" like Vance did, which is a good idea. However, I think it will be up and running by tomorrow at the latest.

How the heck did your website being down de-list your DNS and propagate itself to all the DNS servers all over the net, including the slow ones at @Home and my dumb little office server and all the zillions of proxy servers out there? The only thing I can think of is that the ISP gave him/you an fname instead of an actual DNS registration, and/or the registrar deliberately yanked the address and manually propogated it.

This is great...you KNOW this when Oly will decide to go and peruse the website to see all the great stuff we did. Well you know what they say: happens. Really curious now as to what the problem is, and why we haven't heard from anyone (except Vance, who's also trying to find out what's going on). K.

Like I just posted. The site was working earlier today, because I was there showing co-workers all the pictures. They were quite impressed by the way.

I'm thinking Jim is having server problems.

e10day.com is registered, as Jim did it himself.

I have a feeling all will be well in the morning or afternoon. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I have faith in him.

Vance.

Ezboard.com was moving 100 of their servers to a new ISP... wonder if that had anything to do with the outage. Damn, now I can't send my friends over to check out my pictures or other people's... ugh, network stuff just gives me a headache :( Let's hope tomorrow everything will be up and running fine :)

Hi Jason,

I'm not sure. All I know is, my URL brought up the infamous "white screen", and my IP address was not translating from DNS. It was down for 30hrs I think. I haven't "broadcasted" my website to any search engines yet. Of course, my web-hosting service probably has its own. In any case, my website was down for 30hrs and I was irritated. Thank God the E-10 Day website was doing well on E-10 Day. This is always a webmaster's nightmare. Create a great thing, and then have your website down, after all your time and energy and exposure.
