Can anyone tell me a good source online to get a bracket to support a vivitar flash at a reasonable price? There are no camera shops here in podunk, and the only ones I can find online are 70 to on up in price. I'm gonna pound one out in my garage if I can't do any better than that! It might not be pretty, but neither am I! I'm starting to get the hang of this camera (4800) at first I was frustrated with the weak flash, no longer a problem except for fixing the burn marks on my walls from this new flash, and kids walking around with white canes while I experiment!--kujo

Kujo, I bought the L flash bracket from BugEyeDigital for $15.95. I didn't notice that two items down there was a folding flash bracket for only $1 more. The brkt I got is kinda large and won't fit in my bag. The folding one would fit. Try http://www.bugeyedigital.com and click on flashes and accessories. Hutch

I got a bracket from there too. Service was great and shipped fast. Now if only my flash can get here so I can try it out.

It appears like it will work. I got the folding bracket so it can be easily packed away. It has a locking mechinism(sp) and that was the only thing I was really worried about, but it is well made.

Does this bracket mount right to the camera at the tripod connection? Thanks Jerry
