For those that may be considering purchasing a printer to print photos with their digital camera the Epson Stylus Photo 750 will serve their needs very well.

If you would like to have the option of printing text with this printer consider the following:

The color cartridge and black cartridge are both used to print "grayscale" text. The black cartridge should only be used when printing text, but this is not the case since both cartridges are used just to print black text.
This seems like an awful waste of "color" ink.

Great printer for printing photographs from my digital camera although it would be nice to have the option of using just the black ink cartridge when printing black text.

i agree. the 750 is a great printer. just buy some high quality picture and you won't be able to tell if it's a real (35mm) picture or from the printer. does use up alot of ink..but ink nowadays are 8 dollars for generic cartidges which in my opinion work fin.

anyone know of a great digital camera that'll go with the printer?

I agree that 750 is a very good printer. I own one myself, which has being used for printing my slides, and the results were excellent. But now that I have a digital compact, I cannot print what I see on the monitor. The contrast is too high and the faces look horrible on the print. Another thing is that the prints have a greenish appearance. Can you please help me?

In the preferences area you can select black ink only.
