Hey Treven,

I recently had the same question, but couldn't really find any info saying that one was better (or more suitable) than the other, despite most people here talking about the 250D.

So I just ordered both ;)

Can't wait should get here (Australia) early next week.

what a great set of shots for a brand new toy, especially love the second :) i'd say "looking forward to seeing more"... but i know we will, lol... lots too! keep 'em coming, dani

sigh i've been wanting one but keep telling myself there's gotta be an end to the spending somewhere, lol. or at least a brake :)

you are making very good use of it already.

your close up nature photography will move forward in leaps and bounds now..I am impatiently waiting for our spring to get underway so that I too can visit our little insect friends..
 
Stunning shots A.D.! So sharp and colors are beautiful!

What camera are you using? Did you have a chance to experiment with different close-up lenses? I am especially interested how the Canon lens compares to Hoya +1+2+4 set.

I only heard people using the 250 so thats what I got!

I think the 500 is for longer range lenses... to 300mm

camera is a F717 and no, I didn't get to try out other lenses... but I figured the canon's quality would probably exceed that of the hoya macro filters.
