    Auto Exposure - d610 - too dark / too light - matrix metering

    I had my d610 w/ 85mm f/1.8 set to matrix metering and it seemed to overexpose at one point then underexpose for a bit. Curious what could have caused this? I was in Manual and then Aperture Priority. Neither had any exposure compensation dialed in. Thanks in advance!

    Is this oil on my sensor?

    What about blasting it with air to begin with? This removed a good number of the spots on my d610 sensor. I ordered a brush to try to remove the remaining spots. Wet cleaning will be my last resort.

    I configured my front Fn button to use the AE-L (Lock) function. I see that once I press it, I can shoot images with the AE-L locked but if I don't shoot an image for some time, it becomes unset. Where do I see this timeout setting on the D610?
