Yes, Affinity is a great value proposition. For most folks, they do not need any Adobe products. Affinty, Luminar AI, Pixemator Pro all offer more than most folks need - for a standalone license and low price.

To me it seems instanteous. Flip on switch and see image on LCD or EVF.
Press Menu button menu appears instantly. Use joystick to move between items instantly. I have no issues with speed.
No lag
No delay
I suggest you go see one if possible.
