    TG-4 vs TG-7

I bought my TG-7 from MAP Camera (Japan) on Ebay. I have bought from them a few times and their items are always better than described often virtually new. They often give the Ebay 1 year warranty on their items. Mine was $370 shipped including warranty and it is like new not even any wear on...

    TG-4 vs TG-7

I have decided to keep the TG-7 and sell on the TG-4. Since I just bought both I can get my money back or maybe make a little profit or at least cover my ebay fees selling the TG-4. Both are great cameras. Both shoot raw photos if that is in your workflow. I like that the TG-7 charges with...

    TG-4 vs TG-7

No, it does not appear to tag any of the location or environmental information to a video. At least none of that appears in the info screen when previewing a video. Also, the manual does state the the geo information is saved with "picture files". Just go into the time settings menu and there...

    TG-4 vs TG-7

Regarding geotagging. First, I don't use the Olympus app so I don't have access to all the sensor data. GPS data does show up in my editor and it is correct. I don't know about videos for the same reason. I can't confirm if the compass is separate from the GPS, There is a function to manually...

    TG-4 vs TG-7

I have been wanting a pocked camera for a while and (somehow) I ended up buying both a TG-4 and a TG-7 from Ebay. The TG-4 was super cheap just over $100 while the TG-7 was about $350. The TG-7 has the 1-year Ebay warranty and is literally perfect mint condition while the TG-4 is in excellent...

    Carrying several lenses

My favorite bag for the past 20 years has been the Domke F-803. Carried my 2x E-P5s and now my 2x Pen-Fs along with 6 lenses, flash, extra batteries, SD cards, cleaning kit, etc. Both bodies can fit with the my 17mm and 12mm attached plus 25mm, 45mm, 60mm macro and 75mm. I have a second...

The reasons why the Pen F ii never happened…

I agree that a new Pen-F II will likely never happen. Not all for your same reasons. The market for a rangefinder style body is a limited niche market. It is already well represented by Panasonic, Sony, Fuji, of course Leica probably others. That is all very strong competition. Olympus has to...

Olympus 150-400mm for sale on Ebay.

I have bought 3 bodies and 2 lenses from MAP camera in the past 5-6 months. Each one was in virtually new condition as they had described. They are great at answering questions. They package very securely and ship super fast.

Buying a used E-PL series camera, question re support

Assuming you mean paid for repairs? I don't think anyone can answer 100%. Most manufacturers will repair until no more parts are available. Same for 3rd party repair services, if they can get parts you can likely get it fixed.

    I did a thing. Again.

Thanks I appreciate the positive comments. I am not worried about the size like I said re my past experience. I am keeping my Pen-F with all the tiny prime lenses as my street/family type of kit. Lots of events go on around me where a small discreet kit is preferable. The EM1X with the pro...

OM-3's already hitting the used market in Japan...

Sorry if I am repeating past posts. I think the Pen-F is a perfect example compared to the OM=3. The mass market can mostly only afford one higher end camera and they need one that will do "everything". Some but probably the minority have a shooting style and interest that works well with the...

    I did a thing. Again.

I paid just under $700 USD including a 1 year warranty. For such a low shutter count with warranty I figured it was a pretty good deal. I have seem some reports for people paying a bit less but I am happy with this price.

    I did a thing. Again.

After upgrading my Pen cameras and getting more serious about using proper cameras again, I told myself that would be fine and good. Problem is I then picked up a couple of "Pro" lenses which I told myself would be ok with the Pen bodies. Problem, is, while they obviously work fine, the...

OM-3's already hitting the used market in Japan...

Regardinig import duties. I believe but could be wrong, that there is a minimal amount for personal import before the tariff is applied. Something like $800. That may have changed with the new tariffs. I can say I had a small item roughly $45 just arrived from China and it appears to be shipping...

OM-3's already hitting the used market in Japan...

I am not in the market for an Om-3 but I can vouch 100% for MAP Camera. I bought a lot of Olympus from them in the past few months and everything was nicer than described, packed perfectly and delivered in about a week.
