A6400 for macro
with the 90 mm you don't have to get too close, and you shoot with tracking and a burst of shots. obviously you don't get it much of the time, but you do get good shots. And remember, bees stop on flowers! kdoc- Kdoc

A6400 for macro
In addition: with tracking on and burst shooting, even with hand held, you can get excellent macro, even 1:1. And the 90 mm FL allows a reasonable distance from the subject. I highly recommend it. kdoc- Kdoc

Thanks: while I don't trust the rumor mill, at least I now know that having two stabilizing properties in the future will be worthwhile, and that, for my dominant right eye, there's no advantage to a central EVF. kdoc- Kdoc

I love this lens, and on my Sony a 6400 it even Auto focuses and tracks and gives me an excellent "hit rate" when hand-held, image stabilization, and shooting Macro--even at or close to 1:1. a6400: AF drive speed and tracking sensitivity
So, until further notice, we either take it on faith that those apps won't work in AF-C for stills...or, when we get a moment we figure out some experiment where we can test the hit rate under stressed conditions with and without AF drive speed and tracking sens being changed. I say that...- Kdoc

AF drive speed and tracking sensitivity is for "movies" only. But "movies" (video) use AF-C just as still image photography often does, including for tracking. Therefore my question is whether these two settings (AF drive speed and tracking sensitivity will also influence still image...- Kdoc

I remain unclear about selecting "balanced emphasis" instead of AF when shooting most stills (exceptions mentioned above). Why take a chance in shooting an out of focus shot. Comments in black, below. Why not set "AF" (under Priority Set in AF): then you're IN FOCUS when you shoot.
