Try Panasonic LF1. It's 1/1.7" sensor is not too far away from the 2/3" on your XS-1. It's 28－200 mm lens covers most situation in travelling. It fits in any size of pocket even the one on your shirt. And the price is really within your budget. I had it with me to Iceland last summer. No burden... -

Question again: If I take two pictures under different light sources A and B with WHITE WB set, there will be two different sets of parameters generated by the camera software and ended up similar (if not the same) good results. However, if I use BLACK WB, there will be only one set of... -

After several tests done, I am pretty sure that customer WB set with WHITE is the same as with BLACK, better than AUTO. -

Yes, overall color of two images are different. However, I couldn't figure out why the red, blue and green three 'items' in these two pictures look the same. -

I tried a black subject and found difficult to get rid of reflection completely. Then I solve the problem by covering the lens with the camera's cap.
