No I'm #4 on the waiting list at Dominion Camera in Falls Church VA. I paid in full, they only have 9-10 pre-orders there (last time I checked). There Canon rep should be visiting tomorrow to let them know about arrival. I can't wait any more, its killing me.

Spoke to my dealer today. His Canon rep talked with him this am.

Rep says News Organizations will be getting theirs now. We, the little guys, will have a 50% chance of getting ours next wekk ( late next week )

My guys rep says that the agencies allocations have nothing to do with ours. At this point, I'm unwilling to believe ANYTHING that comes from a "Canon Rep". They appear to know as little as we do, if not LESS.

My place tells me the REP gets the shipping notification from distribution, and only THEN does he actually know who is getting what from his particular region. This is for the retail shop Reps. Totally different rep(s) service the news organizations, and also the mass merchandisers (CDW, Dell, etc.).

Seems like no one in the US has had one delivered yet, but our European and Far East (Aussies, Kiwi's) are getting thiers also. Typical of Canon to deliver thier largest market LAST.

Whatever...

At this point, I'm so EXHAUSTED from all the anxiety, that I almost don't care WHEN it gets here (yeah, right)...

I put a $1,200 deposit down about 4 weeks ago, and put the rest down on Monday.

Just returned from my dealer in North Philly area. He had previously told me that he has 200 on order. Today he told me he's only going to get 6 in his first shipment that he is expecting "any time."

Sad to say, I'm not in the top 6 on his list...

  • I talked yesterday to the store where I have pre-ordered (Southeastern USA) and was told they are expecting their first delievery either Friday of this week, or Tuesday of next week. No word as to how many they will get in this shipment.

The Olympic games this August in Athens must be their target lol !!
I can imagine many people will want to take their baby to shoot sports?

My dealer already got tracking confirmation for his shipment, and it should be here Friday morning. I'm in northern Connecticut.
 
My local camera shop here in eastern NC called me yesterday ( I didn't call them) and told me that my MKII is in transit to their shop. Should be there tomorrow hopefully or monday at the latest. They were only allocated one this go around. Slim pickings here in eastern NC.
