The volume of open active threads on M4/3 drops

But it is still a very busy forum. Not a voice of doom - just noting.

No news is no news. I’m just waiting for an OM1 FE Upgrade…so I can whine about what they left out.

Yes, it's certainly drab. It's not helped by the meager Aussie OMS offerings. The OM/OM-D page has more than half the items out of stock, PEN has nothing, and TOUGH has only one camera. Actually, it's been like that most of the year.

Yes, it's certainly drab. It's not helped by the meager Aussie OMS offerings. The OM/OM-D page has more than half the items out of stock, PEN has nothing, and TOUGH has only one camera. Actually, it's been like that most of the year.

To be honest with you, the fire sale OMS has been having this month on a lot of their products has me a bit concerned that their fiscal situation is not great. I hope I'm wrong, but it is worrisome.

At the end of the day, the site's costs do have be covered...

A decision on launching or not (and, I guess, the price) of the long-trailed "ads-free" option perhaps wouldn't go amiss?

TBH - wouldn't mind overly much if that DID include a few ads by those in properly-related fields of business... just not the weird mix of stuff I've been getting on phone and tablet, where I've not installed the blocker!

John, are you using a mobile device, tablet, iPad or PC ?

I mostly use an iPad for this site and the ads busted through my older iPad. And now with my newest ipad I’m getting the incessant warning from DPR. My ad blocker has an option to hide from ad blocker detection but I need to subscribe for that.

With my Win11 PC, like you, I none of it

I just checked and my old iPad Air 2 (the only IOS device I own) and it's equally "clean" - as is my Android phone if I enable the blocker but I get the "disable ad-blocker" popup without. No ads either way as I use an ad-filtered DNS provider.

I use Chrome on the PC and phone, Safari on the iPad. On the PC I use uBlock Origin (free) on the PC and I have a lifetime (no subscription) licence for Adguard that I use on iPad and phone. It tends to use too much battery on the phone so I usually disable it as the DNS filtering does most of the heavy lifting anyway.

Ads don't bother most people but I find that visually messy stuff in my peripheral field of vision almost unbearable, especially if animated. Probably just the way my brain is wired.

OMDS clear inventory quite a bit, apparently at the end of each quarter. Cash management is key to private equity.

That doesn't mean they are not in trouble.

If the ads were static I’d be OK with them, but when they react to my scrolling down a page and cling tenaciously to the bottom of the screen they bug me so much that I don’t even look at the content - I hate it whatever it is
