...capture the beautiful sunrise early in the morning...but if that
early bird is a crazy Minoltian, he/she can also share it with
fellows on the Forum, why not?

Good picture, Fery. No follow up this time - I'm so lazy, no sunrises. In addition we have a dense fog here these days. One of my very few sunrises (on slide) was stolen by the lab some 15 years ago... But instead of that I have a bunch of sunsets - they are easier to capture :-). http://www.pantonov.com/gallery/sunset . Looking at the input, may be there are many other lazy people like me here, LOL.

Beautiful sunrise, Ferenc! Here's one I took a few weeks ago on the Isle of Palms, SC. Was visiting with friends, who couldn't believe that I was up and out of the house before 6:30 in the morning. But we were across the street from the beach, so how could I resist being so close to a beautiful ocean sunrise? :-)

Jackie

i'm with plamen. until i'm working evening hours, i'm too lazy to make pics of sunrise. sunset yes but sunrise no. by the way: how can i be sure that picture shown as "sunrise" is not a "sunset" huh? lol.

her're 2 of my sunsets. both made last year in ocean isle beach, nc where i was vacationning.
enjoy it.

jack

ps. both have some noise but i don't really care about it. you can also see some halos around the building as an effect of not correct use of unsharp mask feature but it was something magic for me at that time.

Ferenc don't know whether this qualifies or not but it was taken at sunrise hence the empty sunbeds!

Nice beach at Icmeler in Turkey in more peacefull summer days.

hello keith:

great subject. great pic. thanx for sharing.

i think that qualification of the picture is less important. most important thing is that we're posting our pictures, comenting and critique'em and, what is most important.......having fun doing this. and i think that king feri the first kindly agrees with me as well as many other minoltians (and not only minoltians).
fun, fun, fun.

Well, when it's about Turkey, here are some more 'suns' - can be considered both as sunrises and sunsets, LOL. Frankly, thy are sunsets.

The last sun over the Dardanelles strait and Europe, Seen from Asia

Sun going down to the Aegean Sea near Oezdere, 38km. from Kusadasi

The sun touches Bulgaria as seen from Turkey

Great pictures everyone. Good to see the Minolta GT lens holds up extremely well, even with the sun directly in the frame. I've only had my A1 for a short while and don't think there has been a sunrise worth photographing yet :( It's always such a pain to get up early enough to capture a sunrise, but I usually feel great seeing the sun come up :-) Here a sunrise pano from last year in DV of Manly Beacon with my old E10:

...I'm so happy you all could catch up with the subject,...sooooo many beautiful pics have been posted already and hope to see even more...:-))

I agree with you Jack,...who the heck can distinguish sunrise from sunset, eh? But it doesn't really matter, actuall I'm to lazy to copy and paste the exif info showing the time of exposure, its too much technical stuff...instead I'd like to enjoy as many great shots here as possible...

And I can also full heartedly agree with the post of Keith of the sunbeds, ...yeap it is another kind of sunrise/ sunset pic...we do not definitely need to see the sun on the pic, right?

Thanks so far...and let's continue... I'm gonna look up something similar to Keith's sunbeds I remember taking in Italy at the beach last year.

Back soon! :-)
