...that's enough to be useful. blows away the 300D, which is barely better than my 707 in that department. Still not sure if I'm upgrading yet, I'll let some of you early adopters pay for the priviledge of being beta testers. When I know the water is fine, I'm probably likely to to take the plunge.

Ciao,

While I wouldn't say "blows away" on this feature, it does put it squarely between the 300D and the 10D as far as timing goes. We'll have to see how it really performs, but it's encouraging.

cannot find file numbering by date like on the nikon cameras, only sequential numbers. too sad really.

dsc200311172230.jpeg is so much better then DSC0001.jpeg.

if anyone finds date/time numbering, please corrct me with page number, i just missed ut then.

I agree with BOTH of you...

My original concern was obvious - a ISO of 100 from the Drebel would mean that Sony would need something much less than 100 to compete from a noise standpoint. So I am glad to see 64.

I also agree that I would have loved to have seen a 1600 in there too - but I bet 1600 with a 2/3rds sensor would have meant pictures like the FujS7000 is producing ... ie NOISEY.
Or I suppose if you want to go outside for night shots, but you
won't get exposures as nice in that situation.

Better to have it than to not.

Anyone notice color reproduction settings on page 74? Two modes...standard and REAL...no kidding. Sounds like standard is in-camera processing and REAL maybe the RAW mode? Sound right to anyone else?

I'm happy to see it too. But it's no "answer" for the low noise of the Rebel in and of itself. Not for medium to low light. Thank goodness for that fast lens, though.

Thank goodness for Noise Ninja!

Hope they come up with a plug-in for Photoshop!
