What would Asian and European women think?

My guess is that the typical woman buyer won't care too much about 4K or spending more for those 4K requirements (SD card, processing or editing power, software, time and effort for downsizing to HD, file transfer times..)
Is there a 'typical woman buyer'?

Maybe not. I meant the average or what the majority of women would do based on what I know. I suppose those who work in camera shops can answer that much better.

I might wonder why women form any part of the world would wish to have a camera tool that was any different from a man with a similar level of interest in photography.
The marketing of technology for women based on stereotypes has been full of amusing pratfalls. One could take the whole Nikon 1 system, which was said to be targeted at the 'soccer mom' as an instance. I remember one time I was working with the automobile industry, and a survey was done to help design a car targeted at women. It was a tiny thing which came in all kinds of pastel colours. The survey showed a big preference amongst the women surveyed for huge SUVs.

In my limited experience of women, those who are not interested in photography, if they get a camera, get one based on what they want to do with it. Those who are interested in photography treat it much the same as a man does. I think that is the flaw in designing an ILC directed at women. Essentially, women in the market for an ILC are the same demographic as men -keen photographers who are quite aware of what they are buying.

Let's hope so. Otherwise we will have lots of cameras with different colours. Wait a minute, didn't Pentax try that with their entry level K-x DSLR in scores of different colours? It seems to be a sign of companies about to fail, when they try to create miracles with cosmetics, different colours, also gold, titanium or bronze coloured bodies or wood-grip versions of cameras, but they still have the same old parts.

did you ever see the bronze colour Nikon used for one of their Dslr's?

It looks like a polished turd

I have no idea other than this, that most women carry purses, while most men do not. I suspect the compact size of these cameras might appeal to some women who want more camera than a cell phone provides, but would like to be able to carry it nearly all the time in their purse rather than buy a big camera that would require a second bag. For men who will be carrying a camera bag as their only bag, it might not matter as much if it is somewhat bigger.

Makes sense. Smaller size should be better for women. However the age and hence strength of the photographer should also affect decisions, which is why many people here abandoned FF and get lighter mirrorless cameras. Women are weaker usually due to their physique.

Just wondering what site it is that has the comparator you are using for mounted lenses on bodies? I used to know, but can no longer find it. Thanks.

www.camerasize.com You can compare just bodies (click on the "Get Started" button), which will give you detailed dimensions and weights, or you can compare bodies with particular lenses mounted (click on the red button to start), which I think just gives you the images.

and started into more serious photography, I'd buy the 24MP Fuji, which is not only superior in most specs, but also at least 20% cheaper.

Some people here want 16 MP for ever, but this will kill M43 in the long run. Just you wait.

..the 16mp m43 sensor could be a 'sweet spot', just as it is for the aps-c 16mp sensors.. where it works well with the existing lenses..

..Cheers..

That you’re perhaps just a teeny, tiny bit sexist?

Just guessing… 😜

my member name "Sergey Borachev", a nom-de-plume which I assure you is not an indicator at all of my race, ethnicity, or skin colour, drinking habit or views regarding the sexes etc.
If it was your real birth name, it still cannot indicate your race, ethnicity or skin colour. Never mind your drinking habit or views regarding anything.
