Just an amendment rather than a correction.
The CF cards are perhaps faster than the regular Memory Stick. I'd bet my boots that the camera is going to be hair-blowingly fast with a Pro stick in there. I think there's more to find out here.

CF cards are cheaper and faster (the high speed ones), with
capacities up to 4gb. Microdrives are about $250 for 1GBBut
the biggest, most amazing part of this is, it's a MAJOR
philosophical shift, for Sony. They are really thinking like a
camera company now. Not just an appendage of an electronics giant.
This camera shows that they are listening and that they are intent
on giving users, the features and control they demand.
It remains to be seen if they uncrippled NightShot.

ISO 800 is maximum expectable for this small chip.
And with 2-2.8 lens it's enough for common situations.
But I feel much worser problem with noise - 8Mpx and small size of chip ...

The guys who said that 'Sony will never allow the use of CF in their products' will now have to go back to the drawing boards and figure out what ELSE Sony wouldn't ever do.
The guys who said that 'Sony will never do RAW' will have to go back and rethink their strategy concerning how Sony has gone wrong all this time.

They could just be expanding the options on the high end. I'm sure Sony still plans to use the MS Pro in future digital video products that will need at least 5GB.
