Share with us you Best Flower shot.

I know for a fact that these are my best flower pictures because they're my only flower pictures. My wife plants seriously 500-1000 flowers a year in our yard and these are from my side and back yard.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your response. That was a very good attempt to produce an art photo. The background was fine. The ROT positioning was right. Only two suggestions and that is -

1. One of the petal of the flower was pointing our eye out of the picture. (It's just one of those detail thing.)

2. As the flowers were pointing to the right, try placing it at the lower left ROT position.
Regards
Ruan

I think this is one of my best taken todate. What about you?

Ruan

Hi Tim,

Like your pictures with nice background. One of the best background is actually the sky:

Hi Tim,
Like your pictures with nice background. One of the best background
is actually the sky:

Your pic didn't work. Also, as it was raining the day I took those pictures, the sky was dark, gray, and ugly. The shallow depth of field really makes the subject jump out at you.

Shallow DOF is also another very useful in flower picture.
Sorry about the picture not showing. I am trying again:

Hi Jack,

It was a very attractive picture. Red against a dull background always standout. I am not sure you have a story there. A damaged flower by the roadside. In anycase, I find the 2nd flower at the bottom right hand corner not contributing to the picture and might be useful to crop it off.
