I believe that there is some possibility that the release of EOS-1Ds Mark ll's successor is still alive this week at least.

This type of new product would be released when checking the CANON USA site and the Japanese one within this week.

We should just wait for its release however possible it is to release it this week.

That is all I want to say to all the people who are reading messages in this forum.

I heard that in Japan many people believe the release of such a new product in this week. It depends on CANON Japan's decision this week.

Deciding to roll out a new product at this level is something that happens months in advance. There are so many things that have to happen -- from advertising to logistics to manufacturing -- for it to work.

Most of people excluding Japan don't know the possibility of the release of the eos-1ds mark ll's successor. Anyway, just waiting this week.

We just should wait for the possibility to meet the successor of Canon EOS-1Ds Mark ll this week. If not, I would giive up and focus on the first quarter of nest year but it is worth believing the successor no matter how possible.

I will jump in here.
I dont even know whats going on next door let alone Japan.

I really dont care about a new replacment for the 1DSMK2 as i fear it will be another 8 grand camera and thats just to much $$$ for me. But then again a used 1DSMK2 mite be tempting if a succesorr is realeased for it now. Should bring the used price of a 1DSMK2 down some.

Wouldn't it make sense, since Canon released 2 1.6 bodies already this year, to do a 1.3 now instead of a 3rd 1.6? Then do the next 1.6 in Feb. I'm taking it for granted that a new FF will be out soon.
