The Fujifilm X-E4 is an APS-C format mirrorless interchangeable lens camera aimed at beginner and enthusiast photographers. The X-E4 offers the same the 26MP X-Trans sensor and quad-core X-Processor 4 found in higher-end Fujifilm ILCs, but in a smaller, more affordable camera.
In this video, we head into the heart of the Pacific Northwest wine country in the company of photographer James Joiner and the Fujifilm X-E4. James is meeting vintner Charles Bieler to shoot some imagery for a new wine label.
It’s mysterious how things work sometimes. A day or so after watching this video, I went down to the Turnip Truck for some guacamole and almond milk. As I was passing through, I spotted a stand in the middle of the floor with bottles of Charles and Charles. We had it with our rib-eyes for Mother’s Day. It was a good accompaniment.
I struggle with the concept of deliberately travelling somewhere to buy Almond milk, I’d rather have some teeth removed, I suppose we are all different :-)
I use full-frame Sony, not Fuji, but I find it really attractive that several recent Fuji bodies, including (I think) the E-4, have 240 fps video. Even though limited to no more than 3 minutes at a time, still could make some interesting slo-mo clips.
That's an opinion, I have a other opinion. I think this X-E4 is a serious and unwanted step down from its predecessor the X-E3. Fuji is making a mess of it's lineup. Some body's with the Fuji user experience, some without (X-S10). Lower end models without X-Trans sensor. Some camera's with IBIS, some without (also newer models without).
Pretty country, sure looking forward to being able to tour again sans the plague.. I only wish I could drink more wine. I like it, but sadly it doesn't like me :-(
Yeah I’d never heard of it but I’m on the hunt for some in the U.K. now, I’m a bit stuck in my ways with French or Spanish stuff so this would be a good way to expand.
I think white is a bit nicer if you suffer like that.
@Woz D Boss - California wine is more "civilized" than French or Spanish in that it is more fruity and is somewhat sweet upfront or on finish. I do like French wine with "rich" food. White wine is easier to drink and good with the right food, but I know some people that look down on it and claim that it makes a good cleaner.
I have a soft spot for Rioja, both red and white, in fact not many people know there are some good white wines from that region due to how famous the red is.
Like a glass of Cava too, in Barcelona preferably.
> "California wine is more "civilized" than French or Spanish in that it is more fruity and is somewhat sweet upfront or on finish."
LOL! Possibly you cannot even fancy the variety of wines French, Spanish and Italian have on offer: here everything changes radically within 10 km. If you identify "civility" with "abboccato", make yourself a favour and go taste some French Beaujolais or Italian Novello, then let's speak about "civility". No offense meant: it's just that we measure our wine civility in millennia, you just in weeks.
@Tical - In the US, most casual wine drinkers consider California wines to be more drinkable due to lower tannins and the reasons I mentioned above. Wine civility here is measured by how drinkable it is without food. This applies not just to Zinfandel's, but Cabernet's and Merlot's. Many people in the US look down at Beaujolais as being wine that is not "finished" and therefore, not worth drinking compared to even some Spanish reds, but for some reason Rose's are worth drinking in the summer. In some states, Chianti's are almost unknown and are associated with eating spaghetti. I am always searching for "heavy" and thick reds, because I like to drink them with red meat. Today, I bought a 2016 Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano and 2018 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. I am not very familiar with Italian wines.
Fujfilm's latest APS-C offering, the X-E4, is also the brand's smallest interchangeable X-mount camera to date. Despite its compact dimensions, the X-E4 sports the same outstanding 26MP APS-C sensor with X-Trans color filter array as the flagship X-T4.
