The Sony a6300 has some sizable shoes to step into. With a 24MP CMOS APS-C sensor, 8 fps continuous shooting with live view, 425-point on-sensor phase detect AF system and 4K video capture it looks like a solid update to the a6000, at least on paper. Pocketable APS-C: Fujifilm X70 real-world samples

Fujifilm's new X70 compact camera puts the 16MP APS-C sensor from the X100T into a much smaller body, omitting an EVF but adding a 28mm equiv. F2.8 lens and articulating touch-sensitive screen. The X70 is certainly one of the nicest compact cameras to look at, and its specifications are pretty impressive, but what kind of images can it produce? We spent the weekend shooting with a production-quality camera. See gallery

Nikon D7200 real-world samples gallery posted

The Nikon D7200 improves over its predecessor in one important way, offering a greatly improved buffer. Other improvements are more subtle, but more sensitive AF and an improved video specification make the D7200 a more capable camera than the model which came before it. We've had a D7200 for a few days, and wasted no time pairing it with Sigma's excellent 18-35mm F1.8 A to get some real-world samples. Click through to see more

[UPDATED] Can we get much wider? Canon EF 11-24mm F4 L USM samples gallery posted

[UPDATED] We were curious to see how the new Canon 11-24 F4 performed on a high resolution sensor, so we've updated our gallery with some landscapes and aperture progressions taken on a 36MP Sony a7R with a Metabones adapter. Though performance at extremes of the frame may not be representative of that on a native body, the 11-24 doesn't disappoint. Have a look at the new shots in our gallery

We've had access to a pre-production model for a few days - just time to prepare a small gallery of samples.

New features include a larger, tilting 3" LCD, an XGA OLED electronic viewfinder, a control wheel around the lens, and greatly improved battery life. We've had access to a pre-production camera for a few days now, and we've been given permission to post some images. Click through for a link to our gallery

We've been shooting with the Fujinon XF 56mm F1.2 R - the fast 85mm equivalent prime lens for Fujifilm's X mount mirrorless cameras. Its F1.2 aperture means it gives similarly shallow depth-of-field to an 85mm F1.8 lens on a full frame body, making it an useful portrait or low light lens. We also spent time using the X-E2 with an advance version of firmware v2.0 while putting this gallery together. See gallery and read about our experience with the update

Nikon 18-55mm F3.5-5.6G VR II real-world samples gallery

Nikon's new collapsible kit zoom, the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II rolled into our office Friday afternoon and we took it for a spin over the weekend. Like similar designs used in mirrorless kit lenses, the 18-55mm VR II twists to expand when you're ready to shoot, and contracts into a more compact 'at rest' state. It's a natural companion for Nikon's consumer-level bodies including the D5300. While we put the finishing touches to our D5300 review, we used that camera to put together a gallery of real-world samples. See gallery
