All luma and no chroma means no way to color-channel mix in post-processing. Isn't that a bit of a showstopper (asking as someone who is not a B&W expert)?

I didn't care for many of the images and am trying to figure out how shooting them in b/w made them better than in color. We have very little idea what the color in the original scene looked like so we can't judge how it was depicted.

And " including some Raw conversions that highlight the camera's outstanding flexibility for post-processing." No way does it demonstrate that.

Some things such as the fence and the lawn just blended together.... maybe converting from a color file would afford some separation of the fence and background. Numerous (all?) shots here could be improved by working from a color file in the conversion process instead of just desaturating the scene uniformly as the monochrome sensor does.

DPRevew... send me this Leica and a color model (and $5,000) and I'll shoot you some great examples that will demonstrate why to start with a color file. ;-)

And yes, rich people should pay taxes. They don't pay any here in Washington state-but my property taxes go up every year. As a percentage of my income, I pay hundreds of times more per year in taxes than ole' Baldy.

MyReality, yep, young people have always faced the bill and paid the price. When I was young it was the Thatcher years that stuffed the opportunities of many. But a little perspective, at least, at the very least Millennials don't have to face what their age-group did in 1914, 1939 or Vietnam.

Although I take a politically neutral stance, Biden's tenure (if he lives that long) and lefty PC policies will do more harm to young people that Trump ever did. Come back in four years.

Doesn't sound very neutral there, Mountain. I'm unsure how being able to die in the street of cancer after bankrupting your family because Obamacare was evil; or never being able to buy a house because student loans are the price of opportunity, are better policies than everyone having healthcare and the chance to at least go to a state college for a couple years on Uncle Sam's tab.

Being neutral does not preclude the ability to estimate an outcome of certain actions and policies.

The NHS is sacrosanct to us Brits as the Constitution is to Americans (I am not sure which side of the pond you fall).

Nevermind the part where Nixon normalized relations with China, then the Capitalists promptly began outsourcing all the jobs because they could pay someone eight cents a day to stamp out widgets and as a bonus, frame their greed as "Evil Unions pricing the workers out of competition!" When the workers earning a living wage wasn't the problem-the problem was simply that the ultra wealthy weren't becoming even more wealthy *at a sufficiently rapid pace for their tastes..*

And as a former auto mechanic tasked with working on British cars (back in the '90s, before they were all bought out so think Leyland era) it wasn't the workers who were the problem: it was the stagnant British engineering-relying on warmed over inter-war era aircraft engine designs and God knows where they got those primitive electrics, well past the time where even the big three in the USA had gotten past most of their '80s era electrical and other problems.

Meanwhile in the USA as elsewhere, the price of oil went from $2 a barrel to $20 a barrel in a couple years.. so energy being ten times as expensive was also a big factor in 'stagflation' from which we also suffered.

As an aside, the term 'stagflation' was used by Reagan quite a lot and he was credited with it, but it was really a British term invented a decade previously. But he sure loved to wave the 'freedom' flag around and brag about trouncing evil Communism-all the while his industry cronies were getting ever richer off cheap Communist labor in the Far East. We apparently hate Commies but love how they'll work for pennies on the dollar so we can have cheap iPhones.

OH and BONUS: How much money we can borrow from them. We seem to like that quite a bit as well.

At first glance I thought those were dead pixels--and they could be--but since they don't show up in other samples it's likely dust. ALSO one is 3 pixels in a reversed L and the other is a 4 pixel square, so that adds to the likelihood that the problem is dust--which isn't good since this is NOT an ILC.
