Play menu
The play menu is kept rather simple and includes the all the usual functions such as delete, protect and a slide-show option. On the A55 the menu now comprises two pages to accommodate new functions for movie and 3D playback.

Memory menu
Most functions in this menu had on previous Alphas been integrated into the setup and play menus but on the new model Sony has deemed the functions important enough to create a new menu tab for them. You'll mostly enter this menu to format your memory card.

Time and date settings
We're not quite sure why the date and time settings in this menu merit an individual tab as most users will only change their camera's system time very rarely (if at all).
