Sony DSC-S70 Review
Top of camera controls
Top of the camera is the main mode dial, switch immediately between Play (review images), Still (take still image shots) and Movie (record short video clips) modes. Just in front of this is the shutter release button, with a good feel between the half and full press it "does the job".
In this shot you can see the small handgrip a little better. This would be my one ergonomic niggle with the camera, either the handgrip should be thicker or there should be an indent in the front for your fingertips, at least with my hands the grip doesn't fill my palm which means my fingers end up across the front of the camera.
Rear of camera controls
Rear of the S70 are the remaining controls, most controls are easy at hand, though I'd like to have seen a shortcut for white balance and exposure compensation (the two most regularly changed options). Most things are within reach, the 4-way controller being your access to the cameras menu system (just press up). Current status of options are displayed on the rear LCD and top LCD as you change them.
