Below you will find a studio comparison between the Sony DSC F88 and the HP Photosmart R707. We have included samples for the lowest and highest ISO settings for each camera (100 and 400).

At ISO 400 the differences are still slight, though the HP R707's noise reduction is doing a better job in all but the deepest shadows. Interestingly the F88's noise reduction has removed virtually all the color noise, leaving only luminance noise, which results in images that look 'grainy' rather than speckled with random dots or blobs of color.
