At the top end of the ISO scale the size of the XT's sensor starts to make a massive difference to noise, and the amount of noise reduction (which of course also removes detail). To be fair, there aren't many small-sensor bridge cameras that can do any better than the Pro815, and there are many that need - or at least that use - much stronger noise reduction, resulting in almost unusable results. In this context I think the Pro815, with it's more 'honest' approach to noise (i.e. leave it in and don't sacrifice detail) is doing a pretty good job.
