Low Light Landscape Comparison

On this page you will find our 'Real world' comparison test of a low light landscape scene taken with all of the cameras in the group. All of the shots were taken on a tripod with the cameras set to AWB, ISO 1600 and 2 second self timer to reduce camera shake. All of the cameras in the group managed to find a reasonable white balance, but differ slightly in color. Both the PanasonicZS10 and PentaxRZ10 have a slight purple tint visible in the shadows while the NikonS9100 has represented the scene in a warmer tone. The SonyHX9V and CanonSX320HS are arguably the most neutrally balanced of the group.

By default, the main image here is from the Canon SX230HS. To see our comments on the image quality from the other cameras in this group, you can select them from the dropdown at the top of the comparison tool. Depending on the size of your computer monitor, you might get a better experience by selecting 'full screen mode'.
