Canon EOS 450D

5.9 MB (3648 x 2736)
3.7MB JPEG (4272 x 2848)

There's not a lot, at base ISO, to choose between the E520 and the Canon 450D. There are slightly more jagged edges visible on the Olympus image of the paperclips, but overall the results are essentially very similar. The Canon has greater detail, visible particularly in the medal crop, though is let down by slightly low contrast.
