Kodak DCS Pro SLR/c Review
Rear of Camera Controls
On the rear of the SLR/c we have a row of photographic settings along the top of the camera (described on the previous page; HOTKEY, ISO, AE-Lock, Exposure compensation / AF Zone). On the main back of the camera is the LCD monitor, to the left are three buttons, to the right three more and the 4-way controller.
|Cancel / LCD off
Cancels the current setting change or leaves play or menu mode (turns off LCD monitor).
With an image shown on the LCD monitor pressing this button displays a five option delete menu (listed below), press OK to confirm the deletion.

|Tag / Record
A short press of this button displays the tag options menu (Tag / Untag image, Print Tag / Untag). Slightly confusing is that the option menu doesn't change to reflect the current tag status of the image. A longer press of this button starts the audio annotation recorder which continues recording as long as you hold the button, the annotation is then 'attached' to the image by giving the WAV file the same filename as the image.
In shooting mode where AF point selection is enabled the 4-way controller is used to choose AF points. In playback mode this control reverts to image navigation / menu movement. The 4-way controller can be locked by turning the small lever below the dial to the 'L' position. Unfortunately the 4-way controller lock is a physical lock which disables the controller for use in menus too.
|OK||Play / Confirm
If the LCD monitor is off pressing this button enters play mode. The OK button is also used to select areas in zoom modes / confirm menu options or settings.
Front of camera controls
On the front of the camera there is only one photographic control and that is the depth of field preview button, pressing this button stops the lens down to the selected (or metered) aperture allowing the photographer to preview the depth of field of the final shot (obviously the viewfinder view becomes dimmer when the lens is stopped down).
