The HTC 10's auto exposure system selects a higher ISO setting than many competitors for capturing our studio test scene. But still, in central areas of the frame fine detail and textures are rendered very well, thanks to a very good balance between noise reduction and detail retention. Some traces of blurred chroma noise are visible in the mid-tones but luminance noise is again finely. That said, the HTC is again let down by the very soft edges of its lens, significantly reducing detail around the edges of the frame, compared to the center.
