Once again the difference is minimal - there is a slight difference in the nature of the noise reduction, but there's nothing here that will make any difference to any user (if you look closely you'll see there is a fractionally different focus point used, so some parts of the frame are sharper in both examples). The F30 was far and away the best ISO 800 compact camera on the market when launched, and a year later the F31fd carries on the impressive work. Super CCD output (at higher ISO settings) can look a little artefact-ridden when viewed at 100% (as here), but the amount of detail retained and the very low noise is admirable.
