Below you will find a studio comparison between the Canon SD450 (Ixus 55) and the 6MP Fuji FinePix F10 - our current 'benchmark' point and shoot compact. The FinePix F10 set the standard for low noise, high resolution results when it was launched, and it certainly produces cleaner, slightly more detailed images than the SD450. That said, there's not enough difference here to show in a standard print (even given the F10's extra million pixels), though again the SD450 is let down slightly by it's edge and corner softness.

Again, the Canon is more sensitive than its ISO value would indicate.
