Play Menu

Pressing the MENU button while in Play mode displays the Play menu, it would normally be overlaid over the current image but a black image is used here for clarity. This menu allows you to manipulate the displayed (and other) images.

Play Menu options

Option Values / Actions
Protect Enter protect mode, here you can browse through images and press the SET button to protect / unprotect each image.
Rotate Enter rotate mode, browse in the same way and press SET to rotate 90 degrees, this does not actually rotate the JPEG file but rather marks it as being rotated for display only.

Print Order
(for printing on connected printer)

Setup Menu

Common to both Record and Play modes is the setup menu (second tab on the menus). You can easily switch between tabs by pressing the JUMP (macro) button. The setup menu controls basic functions of the camera including volume, LCD display, date and Compact Flash formatting.

My Camera Menu

A new feature on the S30/S40 is the 'My Camera' menu. This feature allows you to personalize your camera with custom start-up images and sounds, shutter sounds, operation sounds and self-timer sounds.

Using the ZoomBrowser software you can upload your own sounds and images to be used for startup or operation (should you so desire).
