Overall conclusion

Here's my rating of the Canon Digital IXUS v (S110 Digital Elph): (2 megapixel ultra-compact)

Detail Rating (out of 10)
Construction 9.5
Features 7
Image quality 8
Lens / CCD combination 7.5
Ease of use 7
Value for money 6

The IXUS v is ultimately pocketable, it's tiny proportions disguise it's ability to produce excellent photographs. The Digital IXUS design is so small it's almost impossible to tell it apart from one of the equally tiny IXUS APS cameras. This camera, just like the IXUS 300 has a quality feel and gadget appeal which will ensure it's bought by digital camera enthusiasts and new comers alike.

My only concern with the IXUS v is the competition, mostly from Canon's own IXUS 300 and A20 digital cameras. Both of which offer a 3x zoom over the IXUS v (although the A20 doesn't have a movie clip feature). If you're on a budget, don't mind the extra size and lack of movie clips the PowerShot A20 seems like a better choice...

Above Average

So which one should I buy? A question I get asked several times a day, and I wouldn't like to say. In a new addition to my reviews (after the amount of feedback I normally get) I've added a link to a specific forum in which you can discuss the review or ask me specific questions which I've not answered in these pages.
